When I woke up this morning and I went through my phone... it took me a whole ten minutes to realize what you guys were texting me about. Last night, the concert seemed so surreal. First off I'd like to thank all the performers who shared the stage with me. You guys did an incredible job working the crowd! And shout out to my DJ too!! Working the ones and twos all night with a hip-hop timeline set. Seeing you guys do work really helped calm my nerves.

A big thank you as well to everybody who showed up to support. As I mentioned in the concert, there’s a lot of talk about NYC not being supportive of its upcoming artists, but seeing you guys coming out 100 strong… and paying for tickets inspired me to a whole other level. I have to admit a $25 donation was pretty pricey...but thanks to all of you who donated I was able to get back 90% of the money I threw down for this event. It was really much more of a learning experience for me than anything else so I’m glad to see that you guys also enjoyed the night.

After the show, one of the security guards pulled me aside to congratulate me on the show. He told me, and I quote, “We’ve seen hundreds of aspiring rappers coast to coast hit up that stage...and you win young fella. I had to run back upstairs to tell the other guys that the boy was nice.” He and one of the bartenders both asked for my CD. That was amazing…

He told me, and I quote, “We’ve seen hundreds of aspiring rappers coast to coast hit up that stage...and you win young fella. I had to run back upstairs to tell the other guys that the boy was nice.”

But it wasn’t just a good time for me. The security guard told me that I should learn to work the stage more. Don’t just walk up and down...walk left and right. Bring more attitude.

I also noticed myself that my voice was weak in the middle of the performance...no excuses but I was truly winded for my first 45 minute set. I was able to bring The energy back up towards the end due to an insane adrenaline rush...but I’ll definitely remember to keep my voice consistent next time around.

Next time will be even better.

For now, crack open your advance copy of the #FML mixtape and enjoy the fruits of my labor. The mixtape officially releases August 13, 2015 so I want all of you to fucking love it by then and share it with all your friends. Be on the lookout for new YouTube videos and shows in the upcoming months!

P.S. A music video for “Illusions” will begin production in the next couple of weeks. 😁
